Joining Choctaw Art Gallery
The goal of this website is to raise awareness of Choctaw history and promote current Choctaw artists by providing a varied selection of high quality art for visitors to purchase. I believe that as a group Choctaws are generally under represented. Books websites and most any informational venue has little information on the Choctaws compared to the information available for other tribes. As one of the larger tribes in the country this seems a bit out of balance. I want to build Choctaw Art into a place where people will find out information about Choctaw history and the rich artistic culture from which we descended and where they can also find the rich and varied art that contemporary Choctaw artists have to offer. Artists will be screened for quality of work and to achieve a good mix of artistic styles and mediums.
To Register for the Gallery
1. Click on the Members button above. The click on the Register button. Follow the directions.
2. Once I have been notified that you have registered I will review and approve the membership and you will receive an email telling you how to log in, etc.
- Cooperative Promotion. As a Gallery Member you help to promote all of the artists on the Gallery by sharing the Gallery, your page on the Gallery and by contributing to the resources on the Gallery.
- Now Available are Small Shops that for a very low cost allow you to sell your art online. Unlike Etsy or other shop options these shops are a flat rate and have a limited number of items at one time. You can change or replace the items as often as you like. Payments go directly to your paypal. The shops have buttons for easy sharing to a variety of social network platforms, which in turn will help promote both you and the Gallery as a whole making it more popular and getting more people to visit both your pages and the Gallery as a whole. Once you are a member of the Gallery you can upgrade to the Small Shops option.
Choctaw artists that would like a fully featured website -- If you would like a fully featured website I can build you one for a reasonable cost. It includes a shopping cart, a links page, and a calendar, information pages, gallery pages, the ability to generate and print certificates as well as a mailing list if desired. The expanded version also includes a customer list, inventory, sales, and custom order features. All websites may be directly accessed without first going through the gallery. The site maintenance is handled through a simple form driven system so you can easily maintain your own site, adding new pieces of art and removing pieces of art as they are sold. Training, help and support are included at no additional cost.
